Flagpole Downed by Motorist and Wind, 1947

In 1951, a 50' steel flagpole was erected on the traffic island at the intersection of N. Park and Neill Ave. Was it the steel top of the 1917 pole? The island pole was moved across Neill Ave. to its current location in front of the Civic Center sometime before 1964.
