The Great Northern Depot was then located at 1100 E. Lyndale. The man wearing the jacket and tie is Shirley A. Garrity (1898-1965), who was GN general agent in both Helena and Butte during his long career. Beginning in 1958, Shirley worked for the GN in Butte, and took the train home to Helena on the weekends.
