The Safeway store at 11th and Montana was the first phase of the Capital Shopping Center, which was built on the site of the old Tower Shopping Center. The center eventually included, among other enterprises, a drug store (Western Drug, 1963), a liquor store, a barber shop, and a Gold Bond Trading Stamp redemption center.

In the background of the image above, there is a pretty good view of Scotty's Drive In on Prospect Ave. Open the "big view" to get a better look.
