1889 First German Lutheran Church

The First German Lutheran Church purchased this lot on the northeast corner of Ninth Ave. and Rodney St. from T. H. Kleinschmidt in February of 1889. Construction soon began, and the cornerstone of the building was laid on May 1, 1889. The church was formally dedicated on Oct. 27, 1889. The adjacent parsonage was built about 1900.
